How Do You Get Blue Kool-Aid & Other Dyed Drinks from Carpet?
Brightly colored drinks attract the little ones. It is scary to see splattered across the carpets the rainbow coloring of red, orange, purple, and blue drinks. To make removing the stain more effectively, address these spills immediately. Using paper towels, promptly blot the moisture. You can avoid increasing the mess by never scrubbing or rubbing. In a misting spray bottle, combine 1 cup white vinegar, 1tsp mild dish soap and 1 cup of water. Blot with a water-damp cloth and ensure it dries after you let the mixture break down the stain for about 10 minutes.
Removing Chocolate Stains from Carpet
The chocolate is easily smeared on the carpet’s surface when too much sugar gives the kiddos extra energy. The longer it sits the harder it is to remove, so when you find the chocolate fingerprints or melted bars in the carpet, act fast. Scoop up and blot as much of the residue as possible, then vacuum any dry particles if the chocolate is firm. With one cup of warm water and 1/4 teaspoon of mild liquid dish soap, use the mixture to dampen a clean cloth to remove any residues left behind. Gently blot the chocolate from the outer edges towards the center. Using a water damp cloth rinse the carpet and dry well with a dry towel.
How to Get Chewing Gum Out of Carpet?
It can almost break your spirits when gum gets stuck on the carpet. On the gum, dab ice cube on it and let it sit there for 1 minute, or until it becomes hard. Once it is hard, you should be able to pull it off the carpet carefully. Scrape the hard gum off, if necessary, using a dull edged tool, such as spatula or a butter knife.
Dried Blood Stain Removal
Sometimes more so, kids are just as accident prone as adults. The blood is likely to drip onto the carpets when a boo-boo strikes. Treat the stain by mixing cold water with a grease-fighting dish detergent in a spray bottle and follow the steps described in the colored drinks once the little ones are bandaged. It can potentially lighten the carpet, but a cotton ball dabbed in hydrogen peroxide can also be effective.
What Removes Ink from Carpet?
The moment your back is turned, kids can find that ink pen. The ink can be terrifying to see when they use your carpet as a notebook. Gently sponge the alcohol on the carpet with a treated few cotton balls with rubbing alcohol. For about 30 minutes, let it break up. With warm water and white vinegar mixture, rinse the area. To blot the moisture as dry as possible, use a dry towel.
